Regent Hotels & Resorts has named Christopher Cestari as its new director of global sales. Cestari most recently was director of sales at New York's Hotel Plaza Athenee.
Now, Cestari will be responsible for global sales efforts for Regent in the U.S., promoting the brand's properties in Shanghai, Beijing, Bordeaux, Berlin, Zagreb, Bal Harbour and Turks and Caicos. One of his specific focuses will be to key on luxury travel agencies.
Seven new Regent properties are slated to open through 2012, including The Regent Maldives and The Regent Emirates Pearl in Abu Dhabi.
