Mexico’s Expansión magazine named  The Ritz-Carlton, Cancun, as the best company to work for in Mexico in the category of 500 to 3,000 employees for 2011 as well as “The Place Where Everyone Wants To Work.” Each year Expansión publishes the ranking of the top companies in Mexico, and a special edition includes a report of the companies with the best human resources practices in the country.

More than 400 companies participated in 2011 and only 97 scored in the ranking for stressing and strengthening the emotional engagement of the staff across four pillars: diversity, communication, leadership and cohesion.

"Being recognized as a top company by Expansión magazine, is an honor and a tribute to the genuine hospitality of our ladies and gentlemen who are fully engaged and motivated to achieve the service excellence that defines The Ritz-Carlton” said Yolanda Medina, director of human resources for the hotel.

On April 28, during a celebration gala in Mexico City, Claudia Molina Basteris, general director of Grupo Turistico Escorpión and owner of The Ritz-Carlton, Cancun, accompanied by Yolanda Medina, received the award from the editors of Expansión.

The Ritz-Carlton, Cancun, features 365 guest rooms overlooking the sea, a white-sand beach, sculpted outdoor swimming pools, a full-service spa, a private beach club, a culinary center and award-winning restaurants.
