Shuttered since Hurricane Katrina ravaged New Orleans, the famed Roosevelt Hotel, which had been flying under the Fairmont flag, will reopen this spring after extensive renovations as a Waldorf=Astoria Collection property. Expect wonderful public spaces and venues such as The Sazerac Bar, a Roosevelt landmark for decades, which will again serve its signature Sazerac cocktail and Ramos Gin Fizz. Guests will have a choice of 505 guest rooms, 125 of which will be luxury suites, some named for celebrities who once visited the hotel.
