Sandals Grande Ocho Rios Beach & Villa Resort in Jamaica played host to the first-ever Sandals Home-Based Travel Agent Conference from October 30 — November 3, with plans to make the successful weekend an annual event.
Agents were greeted upon arrival by resort staff with a cocktail reception and private dinner. In addition to tropical dining experiences, participants experienced various educational programs, such as the Certified Sandals Specialist Workshop, Travel Agent Portal training and resort tours.
In the evening, agents enjoyed an exclusive Catamaran Cruise, sponsored by Island Routes Caribbean Adventure Tours.
In order to better understand the first class product Sandals Resorts has to offer, agents were treated to some impressive services and amenities in the Caribbean, including exceptional welcome traditions, gourmet dining, white glove service, water and land sports and accommodations set on some of the island’s nicest beaches.
During the four-day conference, participants also experienced nearby Sandals Montego Bay and Sandals Royal Caribbean Resort and Offshore Island, where they were able to familiarize themselves with some of the region’s most pristine beaches and indulge in fine Caribbean cuisine. The 2nd Annual Sandals Home-Based Travel Agent Conference is set to take place in Jamaica, from October 27 – 31, 2011.
