Sandos Hotels & Resorts is increasing its portfolio with the acquisition of the five-star San Blas Reserva Ambiental Hotel, located in the south of Tenerife, Spain. Sandos has two resort complexes on the Riviera Maya and a luxury hotel in Cancun in Mexico, as well as upscale properties in Lanzarote (Canary Islands) and Benidorm (mainland Spain).
The San Blas Reserva Ambiental Hotel is situated on a natural environmental reserve in front of the Atlantic Ocean, and is 10 minutes from the Tenerife South Airport. Facilities include a multimedia center with an interactive museum to discover mysterious species and a historical experience tunnel that recreates the history of San Blas from prehistoric times to the modern day, a sailing lake and a 27-hole Biosphere Golf Course, and a boutique Spa facility with an extensive list of body treatments.
Currently there are four products on Mexico's Riviera Maya, housed in two resort complexes— Caracol complex, which consists of Sandos Caracol Eco-Resort & Spa and the Select Club Beach Resort & Spa; and the Playacar complex, containing Sandos Playacar Beach Resort & Spa and the Sandos Riviera Beach Resort & Spa.
Sandos Hotels & Resorts recently expanded its presence in Mexico with the acquisition of Le Meridien Cancun Resort & Spa, located in the heart of Cancun's hotel zone. International properties include Sandos Papagayo Arena Beach Resort & Spa in the Canary Islands, and Sandos Monaco Hotel & Spa in Costa Blanca, Spain.
