Leading Hotels of the World has announced the addition of seven new members to its collection in destinations ranging from Italy’s Lake Como to Santiago, Chile. They are:
The Lanesborough, London, England
Recently refurbished and located in the heart of London, The Lanesborough London offers 93 rooms and suites within walking distance from the Knightsbridge, Buckingham Palace and Hyde Park. Inside the hotel has bedrooms and dining rooms restored to their original Georgian style. Guests can experience fine dining from Chef Patron Eric Frechon in Céleste, which just received its first Michelin star, afternoon tea, cigars and cognacs in The Garden Room, along with in-room digital services.
Guests can also enjoy 24 hour private butler service.
Il Sereno Lago di Como, Lake Como, Italy
The new luxury hotel on Lake Como has 30 suites and a 60 foot-long infinity pool overlooking the lake. By the same owners as Le Sereno St. Barth’s, the property is the product of Milan-based designer Patricia Urquiola.
The hotel also has a private garden that overlooks the lake with additional opportunities to enjoy the view.
Portrait Roma, Rome, Italy
Near the city’s Spanish Steps, the hotel has 14 studios and suites with images of Rome during the 1950's by the great Magnum photographers, along with drawings, sketches and original Salvatore Ferragamo shoes designed for great actresses.
The property’s Lifestyle Team will help guests get access to personalized experiences including tours of private palaces, gourmet dinners and artistic masterpieces.
The Singular Santiago, Lastarria Hotel, Santiago, Chile
Situated within the Lastarria neighborhood, The Singular Santiago has 62 rooms and suites, as well as an award-winning restaurant home to Executive Chef Laurent Pasqualetto. The hotel’s design aims to reflect the artistic heritage of the neighborhood.
For views of Santiago, travelers can check out The Singular Roof, the hotel’s private rooftop bar that serves signature cocktails and live music.
The Singular Patagonia, Puerto Bories Hotel, Puerto Natales, Chile
Designated a National Monument in 1996, The Singular Patagonia was created from a converted cold storage plant dating from the early 20th century. Just outside the town of Puerto Natales in Southern Chile, the hotel overlooks the Fjord of Last Hope Sound with the Andes Mountains in the distance. The 57 guestrooms and suites have floor-to-ceiling windows to let guests enjoy the surrounding scenery, and the menu at The Singular Restaurant focuses on locally grown products.
Guided excursions with local experts are available through the hotel.

Hôtel Barrière Les Neiges, Courchevel, France
On the Bellecôte slope, in the village of Courchevel 1850, Hôtel Barrière Les Neiges is a chalet-style hotel with 22 rooms and 20 suites. The hotel has easy access to the largest ski area in the world, Les 3 Vallées, and three restaurants, including the Fouquet’s brasserie, as well as a south-facing terrace restaurant and interior lounge bar area with a lively atmosphere and daily entertainment. For families, the hotel offers special menus with dishes designed for children and interconnecting rooms. Adults can relax in the Spa Diane Barrière.
For après ski, guests can check out the private projection room, where they can watch a film after a day on the slopes. Opening date: December 16, 2016
The Fontenay Hamburg, Hamburg, Germany
The Fontenay embodies sculpture-like architecture mirroring the fluid lines of the Alster lake and surrounding parkland. The most recent Leading Hotels member in Germany since 2009, the hotel’s interior has a landscaped patio and 27-meter-high atrium with a subtle lighting installation as its centerpiece. All 131 rooms and suites have primarily lake views. The hotel has one all-day dining restaurant showcasing regional Northern flavors, complemented with a gourmet restaurant and a bar located on the top floor.
The Fontenay also has a rooftop spa with an indoor/outdoor pool and panoramic views. Slated opening: summer 2017
