Sol Meliá Expands Hotel Offerings in Croatia

Spanish hotel company Sol Meliá has opened additional rooms at its Stella Maris Resort complex on the coast of Umag in Croatia with the opening of the four-star Sol Amfora Hotel with 134 apartments. The new apartments complement the brand’s existing Sol Stella (three-star apartments), Meliá Istrian Villas (luxury villas) and Stella Maris (4-star campsite).

The new Sol Amfora Hotel apartments are located a little more than one mile from Umag, which is considered to be one of the most popular tourist destinations in Croatia.

The Sol Amfora offers four different apartment categories: Classic, Premium, Superior and Family, with one or two bedrooms and measuring up to 657 square feet in size. The apartments can accommodate anywhere from three to five guests, and all provide a kitchen, bathroom, lounge and terrace.

The Stella Maris Resort also features various dining venues, a salt-water swimming pool, a children’s pool, a games center, a supermarket and Internet corners spread throughout the hotel.

The Spanish hotel company said that it remains committed to Croatia as an emerging travel destination, and is currently working to improve and revitalize its hotel portfolio in the region.
