Starwood Extends Free Night Resorts Campaign

caribbean beachStarwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide reports it is extending the deadline for its new resorts campaign through October 21. The campaign, originally set to expire on October 14, has received a strong response from around the globe, Starwood reports, with thousands of travel professionals completing the four minute module and earning a free night at a Starwood resort.

The new Resorts initiative is designed to educate travel professionals on the more than 200 resorts in Starwood’s global portfolio. Travel professionals have the opportunity to view a  four-minute video that focuses on the company’s dynamic resort portfolio and the diversity of customers and travel options the resort portfolio can satisfy. After completing the learning burst, travel professionals will earn a second night free when booking one resort night at the STARPRO travel professional rate.

“We know we struck a chord with our travel professional partners. They want to learn about our resorts and they want to experience them for themselves,” said Chris Austin, vice president, global retail leisure and luxury sales for Starwood Hotels & Resorts. “We are thrilled to add another week of opportunity to this initiative.”

Travel professionals who complete the module will earn one free night when booking one night at a participating Starwood resort around the globe. Reservations must be booked via the travel professionals’ exclusive ProLearning page by December 31, 2012 but can be used for travel from December 1, 2012 through December 31, 2013.

Starwood’s resorts portfolio includes more than 200 properties in 52 countries under the St. Regis, The Luxury Collection, W Hotels, Sheraton, Le Méridien, Westin, and Four Points by Sheraton brands.
