Starwood Hotels & Resorts' Preferred Guest Program Offers 'Better by the Night' Promotion

Starwood Hotels & ResortsStarwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. and its Preferred Guest program have unveiled a new promotion, SPG Better by the Night," where registered members can earn unlimited bonus "Starpoints" during the earning period of Oct. 1 to Dec. 20, 2012.

Members will receive up to three times their normal Starpoint awards at more than 1,000 participating hotels and resorts worldwide. Guests have the potential to earn additional bonuses on reservations made through the new SPG app for iPhone or and for check-ins on synced Foursquare accounts.

The app also includes fully integrated booking, member information, comprehensive hotel searches, travel details and access to social media channels.

"We continue to provide our members with opportunities that allow for more choice and more flexibility," said Chris Holdren, senior vice president of Starwood Preferred Guest.

SPG "Better by the Night" allows registered members to receive double Starpoints on all eligible stays of one or two nights. Triple Starpoints may be earned on eligible stays of three or more nights.

An additional 500 bonus Starpoints will be awarded for bookings through the SPG app for iPhone. For stays booked on at all hotels and resorts in the program, 250 bonus Starpoints will be awarded.

As an added social incentive, SPG members can earn 250 bonus Starpoints for checking in to any Starwood property on synced Foursquare accounts during a confirmed reservation within the earning period.

SPG "Better by The Night" registration is open through Nov. 30, 2012.
