Taj Hotels Plans Cape Town Property

Indian Hotels Company, which owns and operates 75 Taj Hotels Resorts and Palaces, has partnered with developer Eurocape for a new luxury hotel and residences in Cape Town, South Africa. The Taj luxury hotel, slated to open in 2008, does not yet have an official name but will be part of the $137.9 million Mandela Rhodes Place lifestyle complex. The $41 million hotel will have 174 rooms and 20 residences. Two additional hotels are planned for Johannesburg and Durban.
