Tivoli Hotels & Resorts to Debut in the Netherlands

Tivoli Hotels & Resorts has announced its upcoming debut in the Netherlands in March. Following a rebrand of the NH Collection Doelen, the hotel is scheduled to re-launch as the Tivoli Doelen Amsterdam. The historic property along the River Amstel dates to the 16th century and started as the former Kloveniersdoelen, a place where military aristocrats gathered for banquets and practices.

Tivoli Doelen will offer 81 keys in categories ranging from superior rooms to suites. The property is located in the historic city center near Museum Het Rembrandthuis, the Rembrandtsquare, the Royal Palace on the Dam, the flower market and the Anne Frank Museum.

At Tivoli Doelen, the lounge and bar area will serve a selection of local gins and liqueurs. Due to the hotel’s strong connection to the legendary Dutch painter Rembrandt Van Rijn, the herbs and flavors of his time will feature on the Omber restaurant’s new menu, where the chef will elevate traditional dishes to an artistic level. Rembrandt, one of Netherlands’ most famous sons, was one of the hotel’s neighbors. In collaboration with the Rembrandt Expert and Museum Het Rembrandthuis, a new artistic experience will be introduced on site.
