Sandals Resorts recently inducted Pauline Abatemarco-Pigott, senior director of Caribbean product for Travel Impressions, into the Sandals Hall of Fame at the 10th Annual STAR Awards gala event held at Sandals Grande Riviera in Ocho Rios, Jamaica.
Abatemarco-Pigott is the second Travel Impressions representative chosen for the Sandals Hall of Fame honor, joining Steve Gorga, president and CEO, Travel Impressions.
The Hall of Fame award is presented to individuals, selected by the Board of Directors of Sandals Resorts, who have made a significant contribution to the success of Caribbean tourism. Recipients of this award represent a wide cross-section of the travel industry, but all share a passion for the Caribbean and have worked diligently to promote cultural understanding, meaningful trade and ultimately, the responsible growth of tourism in the region.
"We are very proud of Pauline’s Hall of Fame honor from Sandals Resorts International," said Gorga in a written statement. "Pauline’s dedication and knowledge of the Caribbean and its products has helped Travel Impressions develop as an award-winning tour operator to the region.”
Abatemarco-Pigott started her career with Travel Impressions in 2001 as a program account manager responsible for the overall management of liability and charter air. In 2002, she moved to the Caribbean product team as a senior product manager and was promoted three months later to director of Caribbean product. She has been the senior director of Caribbean product and marketing since 2008.
