Treasure Island Resort and Casino Plans Expansion

On June 1, Treasure Island Resort and Casino in Minnesota begins a $50 million expansion, adding event and convention space that will nearly double the size of the existing hotel. The project will create two new hotel wings, featuring 230 hotel rooms, increasing Treasure Island's total room count to 480 rooms. The new focal feature of the hotel, owned and operated by the Prairie Island Indian Community, will be an illuminated sky bridge, connecting the hotel wings. A new 30,000-square-foot event center also will be built. The project is expected to be completed in fall 2008. Visit [www.treasureislandcasino.com].
