Trump Hotel Collection Plucks New VP Sales, Marketing from Starwood


Trump Hotel Collection has tapped Melissa Brown as its new vice president of sales and marketing, a position responsible for managing the company's future global sales approach, recruiting key sales personnel for new projects, partnership marketing, interactive media campaigns and web development.

She will be double tasked with the role of director of sales and marketing at Trump SoHo New York, where she is managing brand development and marketing solutions in preparation for the property's fall 2009 opening.

Brown has been in the industry for over 20 years, most recently as director of brand marketing worldwide for St. Regis and W Hotels. Prior to St. Regis and W Hotels, Brown held positions at W San Francisco, Hotel Nikko, San Francisco and The Park Hyatt, San Francisco.
