For the last year or so, clients have been eagerly awaiting the launch of two new sets of overwater suites in the Caribbean and Mexico. Well, they are about arriving just in time for your clients’ fall and winter getaways. Two leading all-inclusive chains, Sandals Resorts International and Karisma Hotels & Resorts, recently announced the pending launch of their offerings on this trendy accommodations front. Here are some details.

Sandals Resorts’ much-anticipated Over-the-Water Suites at Sandals Royal Caribbean in Montego Bay, Jamaica, are now open for bookings for arrivals beginning November 15. Reminiscent of Tahiti-style bungalows, these suites, starting at $4,321 per night, convey an intimate connection to the Caribbean Sea and include floating water hammocks and glass floors for watching the fish swim by.

Couples can admire the beauty of the ocean from their private infinity pool and Jacuzzi or either of their two outdoor showers. They won’t even have to step outside to appreciate the Caribbean’s waters.

Every suite targets the luxury guest with stylish king-size beds made from teak adorned with soft Egyptian linens and pillows for a peaceful sleep experience. Each villa will be served by its own personal butler, trained in accordance to the exacting standards of the Guild of Professional Butlers, who provide butlers to nobility and celebrities.

For clients planning a summer vacation in the Caribbean, Sandals has recently debuted new upgrades at Sandals Royal Caribbean, Sandals Montego Bay, Sandals Negril and Sandals LaSource Grenada. These include new Love Nest Suites in Montego Bay and walkout rooms and suites at the other three resorts.

Karisma Hotels & Resorts will open overwater accommodations, a first for Mexico, in September. The Overwater Bungalows will open at El Dorado Maroma in the Riviera Maya. Gourmet Inclusive Vacation Consultants who have already sold El Dorado Spa Resorts Hotels and Generations Resorts by Karisma will be the only ones able to sell the Overwater Bungalows from now until September 1. These agents will also get 21 percent commission.

The first phase of construction (30 suites) is currently under way. The rooms will have ocean views, glass-bottom floors, direct ladder access to the ocean, outdoor showers, private infinity pools, indoor Jacuzzis and oversized decks. There will also be the Gourmet Inclusive Over Water Ocean Grill & Wine Bar, which will have an open kitchen and views of the Caribbean Sea. It will be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Guests staying in the Palafitos (Overwater Bungalows) will receive special amenities, including 24-hour room service, exclusive beach beds, customized beach picnics, full butler service, packing and unpacking services. The bungalows can be booked only at Karisma Hotel reservations. Agents should use the “book now” tool at karismatravelagents.com or call 866-KARISMA.
