Vivanta Taj Hotels Resorts Opens 16 Properties

Taj Exotica Resort & Spa, MaldivesTaj Hotels Resorts & Palaces has completed the second phase of its brand architecture exercise with the roll-over of 19 previously branded Taj Hotels to the hospitality group's new brand, Vivanta by Taj Hotels & Resorts. In an expansion planned to convert more than 30 hotels over the next two years, 16 Taj Hotels this year have joined the three existing Vivanta properties.

Current Vivanta locations include Bangalore, Panaji, Goa and Coral Reef, Maldives. Following customer studies, the group created Vivanta, inspired by the term, "bon vivant," to appeal to cosmopolitan, international travelers.

Within the next few months, new Vivanta hotels will develop in cities including Bangalore (Yeshwantpur), Hyderabad (Begumpet), Coimbatore (Race Course Road) and three in Delhi/NCR (Dwarka, Gurgaon and Shahdara). Three Vivanta by Taj resorts are also planned in the same period for Madikeri in Coorg, Bekal in north Kerala and Srinagar in Kashmir.
