W Honolulu Retains Brand, Plans Renovations

The W Honolulu Diamond Head has announced plans for a major renovation, which will be retaining the W brand. Highlights of the work include the addition of a 910-square-foot fitness center with massage cabanas and a yoga area. The lobby and entryway will be renovated, as will the Diamond Head Grill and Wonderlounge bar. A business center will be added on the second floor. Rooms also will receive attention, including the addition of W Signature Beds. Anekona W, the owner of the hotel, had earlier said it was in negotiations with a prospective buyer. That transaction, however, wasn't completed and Anekona W is no longer in negotiations to sell the hotel. Visit [www.starwoodhotels.com].
