The W Retreat & Spa Maldives is scheduled to open mid-August in the North Ari Atoll. Each of the 50 over-water villas and 28 beachfront villas will have a roof deck, private plunge pool, outdoor shower, plasma TV and circular day bed. In addition to three restaurants, W Retreat & Spa will have the first underground lounge in the Maldives, called 15 Below; a swim-up pool bar; an Away Spa; and Down Under dive center and marine biology station.
