According to a recent article in Crain’s New York Business, the Waldorf=Astoria is making plans to modernize the property.
Over the next 18 to 24 months, Hilton Hotels Corp., the owners of the New York City property, will think of ways to upgrade parts of the property, including improving Wi-Fi access and redesigning the lobby to incorporate more retail stores. Management is considering moving the front desk reception to make room for stores. Behind the front desk is the South Lounge corridor.
