to participate in a short three-minute “Wrap Yourself in Westin & Win” learning burst and be entered to win one of 250 exclusive fam trips. As part of the promotion, Westin also released a new study, “Wellness In Travel” that underscores the value of vacations to Americans.

In addition to being entered to win an exclusive fam trip, all participants who complete the learning burst will also receive a signature “heavenly” gift such as a Heavenly Travel Blanket, Heavenly Bath Robe, Westin White Tea Candle, and more.

To help agents make the sale, Westin offered details of its recently completed “Wellness in Travel” study of 1,500 Americans that revealed that more than half of workers fail to take all their vacation days. The survey revealed just how dire America’s need for rest and relaxation is, Westin said.

*    48 percent of those surveyed are happier and more positive in their work and personal lives after a vacation
*    More than three-fifths of the respondents had cancelled or postponed a vacation this year (64 percent)
*    On vacation, over 30 percent of respondents check in with work every other day, 25 percent of respondents who check in every hour
*    More than two-fifths of the respondents need three to four days to unwind on a vacation (41 percent)
*    More than half of the respondents felt that compared to last year they were more in need of a vacation now (58 percent).

By November 1, travel professionals who have won a fam will be notified via e-mail and by phone.
