Wyndham Upgrades Riviera Maya Properties, Introduces New Suite

Viva Wyndham Resorts has redesigned the guest rooms at its Maya Resort and created a new room category, the Honeymoon Suite, at the Azteca Resort. The redesign and addition at two of its most popular all-inclusive resort properties located in Playacar, Riviera Maya, Mexico demonstrate Viva Wyndham Resorts' commitment to responding to guest feedback.

The redesign of the guest rooms at the Viva Wyndham Maya include the Superior Plus rooms which have been appointed with contemporary decor, including white walls with new modern artwork, a glass top built-in desk with white wood finishes, white bedding with ocean blue accents and a flat-screen TV. The bathrooms feature a marble vanity with a countertop sink, full-sized mirror and glassed-in, marble shower. The Superior Plus rooms also feature balconies with either a garden view or ocean view.

Additionally, the Superior Deluxe rooms feature Caribbean-inspired, contemporary decor, including tall built-in headboards with an interior light, ivory and light blue bedding, a modern rattan chair, marble floors, a flat-screen TV and balconies. The bathrooms feature a marble vanity with a double sink, marble walls and a Jacuzzi tub.

The Viva Wyndham Maya Resort also is now offering Family Rooms. The Family Room is two connecting rooms and now when guests book the room, kids 17 years of age and younger are permitted to stay in the connecting room allowing parents to be next to their children while still enjoying some privacy. Additionally, the Family Rooms now feature Wii and Xbox games included in the all-inclusive price.

The Viva Wyndham Maya Resort features four restaurants offering an array of cuisines in a variety of settings. Guests can enjoy unlimited non-motorized sports such as sailing, fishing, windsailing and snorkeling, or learn new sports with free group lessons on diving, tennis, windsurfing, kayaking and sailing. Guests also can rejuvenate at the exclusive, full-service Renova Spa.

The Viva Wyndham Azteca has created a new oceanfront room category, the Honeymoon Suite. The beautifully appointed rooms are larger than the Superior guest rooms and offer 456 square feet and modern decor, including marble floors, white and orange bedding and fabrics with contemporary yet rich wood furniture, an entryway with a seating area for two, a king size bed, a flat-screen TV built into the wall, an open Jacuzzi tub with marble and glass walls, and a separate vanity area.

The Viva Wyndham Azteca is small enough to offer an intimate escape and grand enough to offer an assortment of activities and amenities. Guest can choose from complimentary non-motorized sports and optional excursions such as scuba and golf on a championship course. Guests also can enjoy a selection of dining options including two cocktail lounges and three restaurants. Additionally, as part of the all-inclusive package, guests can enjoy the dining, activities and entertainment of its sister property, the Viva Wyndham Maya at no cost.

The Viva Wyndham Maya and the Viva Wyndham Azteca are located on the Mayan Riviera on the east coast of the Yucatan and are situated on white sand beaches. Both resort properties are located two miles away from Playa Del Carmen which offers shopping, swimming and nightlife. Additionally, guests can explore other nearby sites such as the Mayan Reef, the second-longest barrier reef in the world which offers world-class diving just offshore, and the Mayan ruins Tulum or Chichen Itza.
