Sceptre Tours Introduces "Irish Welcome Homes"

irelandSceptre Tours reports the launch of its “Irish Welcome Homes" program that features top bed and breakfasts facilities throughout Ireland that provide accommodations and local tours conducted by the B&B.

Travelers gain local, curated, knowledgeable experiences throughout Ireland that would not be available staying at a large chain hotel in a big city, Sceptre says.

“We approached the Ireland B&B Association and together worked with them to formulate an exclusive collection of the best bed and breakfasts throughout Ireland, and then designed a new type of hospitality that is sure to provide travelers with a culturally immersive experience that they’ll never forget. These select accommodations are exclusive properties with unique amenities that meet the needs of Sceptre’s discerning clientele,” says Chris Accomando, president, Sceptre Tours.

The program features 100 handpicked properties throughout Ireland that the company is proud to recommend to its customers, Sceptre says. In addition to a certain level of accommodation (e.g., equivalent to four- and five-star B&B ratings, all featuring en-suite bathrooms) those B&Bs, which are part of the Irish Welcome Homes collection, provide an exceptional travel experience to Sceptre Tours’ guests who stay there, Sceptre says.

Here’s how it works:

  • Prior to their arrival, the B&B owners/managers will contact the Sceptre traveler via e-mail to let them know more about their home and amenities and what makes it unique in order to create a trusted relationship.
  • Upon arrival, travelers will receive an Irish welcome and a freshly baked treat paired with a traditional beverage to make them feel at home.
  • Once guests have settled in, the hosts will personally take them into town, offer suggestions for dining, shopping, sightseeing, and more; and even act as a guide to show visitors the local gems they might not find on their own.
  • Additionally, the host will provide a special “extra” to make the stay even more enriching. This might include a walk around the farm in the company of the farmer (depending upon the B&B location); stamped postcards ready to pen notes back to friends at home; a scone baking class; a glass of Bailey’s; or an Irish chocolate.

Sceptre Tours offers these Irish Welcome Homes as part of some of their pre-packaged tours (Emerald Classic, Northern Ireland Explorer, Emerald City & Country, Irish Welcome Experience) or travelers can completely make it their own and customize a tour utilizing only Irish Welcome Homes accommodations or combining them with some overnights in hotels or castles.
