Travel Agent's Joe Pike recently returned from a long weekend at the new Azul Sensatori Jamaica by Karisma in Negril. Check out a quick tour of his Ocean View Deluxe room.
We stayed in room no 6306, an Ocean Views Deluxe room. There are 64 of these and they are located in both the Adults and Multigenerational sections. The best part of the room was the balcony, which offered both ocean and pool views and enough space to fit at least three people. There is also a very comfortable day bed for an afternoon nap. The air conditioners are all the newest models and can be operated using a remote control. All of the rooms have rain showers and incredible pressure. The safe even impressed us as it could fit a laptop computer.
In 2013, Karisma Hotels & Resorts acquired land in Negril, Jamaica that was formerly Beaches Sandy Bay. After spending a long weekend there recently, we can confirm the excitement was worth it and then some. It may in fact be our new favorite Karisma hotel. Beaches Sandy Bay closed in 2012 and was acquired by Karisma the following year. This was practically a new build as $20 million was invested into completely gutting the property and redoing just about everything except for the basic shell of the buildings.
