London Hotel Offers New Entertainment Events

As a cool counterpoint to Cafe Koha's Show Off! events, Andaz Liverpool Street’s 1901 Restaurant will be hosting monthly nights of what they call "theatrical folly" with Jonny Woo’s Fete Surprise, launching on Saturday, May 8.

Hosted by entertainer Jonny Woo, each month’s Fete Surprise will have a different theme, which will all include glamorous costumes, spectacular performances and outrageous party games with "fabulous" prizes.

We hear the theme of the first Fete Surprise will be ‘Coup De Theatre,’ which will begin with an extravagant entrance and promenade by Jonny Woo, a glamorous tongue-twisting appearance from Jonny’s newest creation ‘Spam Ayres,’ a musical spectacular with a wind machine and a game of bingo with overnight stays at the hotel up-for-grabs.

Following themes will include ‘Everybody’s Birthday’ (June 5), ‘Tartrazine Dreams’ (July 3) and ‘The Pearly Party’ (August 14).

Tickets are $106, which include canapés, a three-course meal and drinks. The evening will start at 7:30 p.m. with cocktails and dinner beginning at 8:00 p.m.
