Los Cabos' Golf Courses Bounce Back

Despite the impact of Hurricane Odile in Los Cabos, the destination's golf courses sustained only minor damage and are bouncing back.

Directors of golf at the top facilities in Los Cabos are reporting that cleanup and restoration efforts are well underway. Courses began reopening as of October 1 and will continue through mid December.

The two anticipated newcomers (Quivira Golf Club by Jack Nicklaus and Diamante's El Cardonal by Tiger Woods) will open October 9 and mid December respectively.

Electricity, phone, Internet and potable water supplies have been fully restored in Cabo San Lucas. The Airport reopened to commercial flights on October 3.

According to the Mexico Tourism Board, approximately 5,000 hotel rooms in Los Cabos are expected to open by October 15, with an additional 7,000 rooms to open by November 15 and a final 10,000 rooms to become available by December 15.
