The landmark Roosevelt New Orleans reopened this month as part of the Waldorf Astoria Collection following a $145 million restoration. The event will be marked by a ribbon cutting celebration on July 30. Shuttered since Hurricane Katrina, the project marks the return of the hotel's history of grandeur and elegance.
"The Roosevelt New Orleans again is the prime destination for travelers and locals because of its reputation for glamor and excitement," said general manager Tod Chambers. "We hope our guests are as excited as we are and that they find that we've not only restored The Roosevelt to its original luster and brought back its fabled splendor, but that we've also introduced the kind of luxury that marks every Waldorf Astoria Collection property worldwide."
The hotel features 504 rooms (of which 135 are luxury suites), a comprehensive business center, private dining and suite butler service, an outdoor pool and courtyard and a Guerlain Spa.
The historic Sazerac Bar and Restaurant incorporates Art Deco-style murals by artist Paul Ninas and original ornate woodwork. Another restaurant, the Blue Room, also received a historically minded overhaul.

Orleans is offering guests special packages from July 26 through
September 30. The Roosevelt Returns Package includes rates from $139 per night, or a suite from $199, along with welcome drinks for two at the Sazerac Bar. The hotel is also offering a Summer Escape Package until September 30, featuring a third night for free and complimentary breakfast for up to two children.
