American Express Launches Largest Incentive Program In Recent History; Over $4 Million In Three Weeks

American Express, in partnership with Questex’s Travel Group, is pleased to present the largest leisure travel promotion program in history. The program, scheduled to run from June until November, is structured to include three phases targeting specific travel segments. The phase one roll out began June 15 exclusively for American Express Representative Network agents while phase two and three began on July 1 for Vacation.com agents and industry-wide for all other travel industry professionals respectively.

The program allows agents to participate by booking cruises and tours with any American Express Card and recording the transactions on special, dedicated American Express rewards websites. Monthly prizes of American Express gift cards will be awarded based on performance and random drawings and publicized on TravelAgentCentral.com as well as Travel Agent and Luxury Travel Advisor magazines. A grand prize winner will be selected at random this fall at the conclusion of each promotion and will win over $15,000 in rewards as well as complimentary flight, accommodation and entry to The Travel Group’s Luxury Travel Expo, held December 7-9, 2010 in Las Vegas. The grand prize winner will be honored onstage at Luxury Travel Expo and will receive VIP treatment during their stay.

“The Travel Group feels privileged to be selected to run this reward program for American Express. It speaks well to the confidence they have in our cutting-edge technology, intuitive platform and easy interface that we can provide to the audience recording their bookings,” stated John McMahon, Vice President and Group Publisher of the Travel Group. “In the first three weeks of the American Express Representative Network Travel Agent program, we recorded well over $4 million in revenue for over 250 suppliers. This shows that we have a highly active and engaged audience that is reactive to messaging from The Travel Group media outlets.”
