Mary Hart Visits her 'Godchild,' New Ship Marina

When Oceania CruisesMarina visited Los Angeles last week during her “Inaugural Passage,” the vessel’s godmother, Mary Hart, could not resist showing off “her ship” to close colleagues and friends.

Hart hosted an exclusive dinner onboard Marina at La Reserve, an intimate venue which features tastings and seven-course pairing dinners with premium wines selected by Wine Spectator editors.

Prior to dinner, Frank Del Rio, chairman and CEO of Prestige Cruise Holdings gave Hart and her guests a private tour of Marina including the Bon Appétit Culinary Center, Owner’s Suites furnished exclusively in Ralph Lauren Home, the full-service Canyon Ranch SpaClub, and the grand stairway custom-crafted by renowned French glass master, Lalique.

Marina called at the port of Los Angeles on February 23 and 24 during her inaugural 18-day Panama Canal transit. The ship is in San Diego today on its “Footsteps of Balboa” cruise, which began in San Francisco.
