Boyken, Twiste Win Travel Leaders Awards

Carlson Wagonlit Travel Associates— now rebranding as Travel Leaders— honored its Top Achievers with awards during the recent 2008 Carlson Wagonlit Travel National Meeting. The awards were bestowed in the categories of manager and agent— both for excellence in sales over the past year. Costa Mesa, CA-based Kathy Boyken received the award in the manager category, while Roy Twiste of New York City earned the top honor among agents.

Boyken serves as the manager of the Carlson Wagonlit Travel Associate (franchised) location owned by Becky and George Kingston, and she has been with the agency for 14 years. She is responsible for managing approximately $8 million dollars in sales each year.

Twiste serves as an agent in the New York City Carlson Wagonlit Travel Associate location owned by Tom Carlsen and Patricia Van Fossen. A leisure travel specialist, Twiste’s leisure sales have continued to grow. His revenue in 2007 was 113 percent over 2006, and he is currently at 79 percent over all revenue sold last year, on target to double his revenue in 2008.
