The agencies honored are Adam Travel, Alexandria, VA.; Addis Travel Services, St. Paul; Fana Travel, Washington, D.C.; International Air Consolidators, Dallas, TX; Just Fares.com, Seattle; Menno Travel Services, Goshen, IN.; Nile Travel and Tours, Arlington, VA. “Travel Agencies are continuing to be successful by introducing travelers to the historical, cultural and natural significance of destinations like Ethiopia,” said William A. Maloney, executive vice president and COO of ASTA. “I am thrilled to see Ethiopian Airlines acknowledges the contributions of travel agents to their business.”

The agencies’ success has been generated by successfully selling Ethiopia to leisure travelers, religious groups, the Ethiopian diaspora and business travelers. Currently, agencies are able to book direct flights from Washington-Dulles International Airport to Addis Ababa with connections to 49 additional international destinations and 15 destinations within Ethiopia.
