Europe Express, a popular resource for travel agents, has just announced that Kier V.B. Matthews has joined the company as the national accounts manager. Matthews will reportedly be responsible for growing business and engaging the travel agent community, and will strategically align Europe Express’ travel agent program.
Matthews has 13 years of experience in the travel industry. He started his career in hospitality working at the Sheraton Capitol Center Hotel in Raleigh, NC, and stayed with Starwood for the next seven years until 2004 when he joined the management team at the Sorrento Hotel as guest service manager. In 2006, Matthews joined the leading small ship cruise line, Cruise West as guest relations manager. In 2008 Matthews joined Virtuoso, the travel industry’s leading luxury travel network, as a manager in preferred supplier sales as well as member sales and service, where he worked until joining Europe Express.
