James Philips has been named vice president of sales and marketing for GTA and president of Travel Bound.
Philips said that in this new role his immediate priority is to build out a sales structure that allows us to better support our travel agent customers throughout the supply chain.
Phillips will also lead GTA wholesale FIT sales in the Americas, encompassing clients in the U.S., Canada, Central America and South America.
Phillips has been at the company for five years, initially responsible for GTA’s global hotel chain relationships, before becoming the vice president of sourcing, Europe Middle East and Africa. In 2014 James moved to the U.S. where he restructured the Americas sourcing division, and now moves into the regional sales leadership position.
A native of the United Kingdom, Phillips graduated from the University of Southampton and holds an MBA from Cass Business School in London. He currently lives in Connecticut with his family.
