Scott Ackerman has just been appointed to the position of senior vice president of product development by Vacation.com.
In his new role, Ackerman will be responsible for developing additional revenue streams for Vacation.com member agencies across multiple segments of the industry.
“[Ackerman] is also already a very familiar face to our Vacation.com members, having graced the stage of our International Conference for many years as a distinguished speaker, not only discussing travel insurance, but also a variety of industry trends, technology and innovation,” said John Lovell, president of Vacation.com.
Ackerman has more than 20 years of experience in travel, with previous positions including senior vice president of sales with AIG Travel Guard, general manager for Continental Airlines Vacations, and vice president of sales at Prime Hospitality, where he was responsible for overseeing 460 hotels in the United States.
