SLS Baha Mar Adds Director of Sales & Marketing

SLS Baha Mar has appointed Mabelle Catania as director of sales and marketing.

With nearly two decades of experience in hospitality, Catania brings with her a talent for developing sales and marketing strategies while creating consumer value and generating incremental revenues and competitive advantages, according to SLS. At the hotel, she will lead its sales efforts, oversee implementation of marketing strategies and play a role in strengthening brand awareness.

Catania joins the SLS Baha Mar team from Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line, where she served as the senior vice president of sales overseeing the sales, distribution and engagement strategies for the growing cruise line. Prior to that, she founded and led the Hotel Division of Travel Leaders Group, a business travel solutions firm with a focus on customized travel fulfillment, meetings management, analytics and more. Catania’s career in the travel and hospitality industry also includes leadership roles at American Express Global Business Travel, among other leading travel brokers.

The first international SLS hotel, SLS Baha Mar opened its doors last fall. Set along 3,000 feet of beach in Nassau, the property has 299 guest rooms, two pools (one of which doubles as a day club), the Bond nightclub and an array of sbe restaurants and bars. The global hospitality lifestyle company operates Carna by Dario Cecchini, Fi’lia, Katsuya by Starck, Cleo Mediterráneo, Umami Burger, Bungalow Pool Bar & Grill, Privilege and Monkey Bar at SLS Baha Mar.

Plans for 25 additional locations nationally and internationally in cities including Washington D.C., Cancun, Bangkok and Doha are in the works for SLS.
