Marriott International has appointed Toni Stoeckl to VP of lifestyle brands, including global responsibility for Renaissance Hotels, AC Hotels by Marriott and Moxy Hotels.
Toni previously served as vice president for the Renaissance Hotels brand. In his newly expanded role, Toni’s leadership will drive, define and execute global brand strategies and signature programming for more than 225 hotels around the world. He will also be involved in the future development and global growth of each brand. In addition to his strategic and operational responsibilities, Toni will help to define the direction of the global marketing strategy for the brand, helping to ensure that each brand remains firmly rooted in the lifestyle category, Marriott said.
Toni began his career in hospitality at his family’s business near Frankfurt, Germany, and joined the Sheraton Frankfurt Hotel in 1996 before making the move to the U.S. Prior to joining Renaissance Hotels in 2009; Toni served as the global brand director of Starwood's Luxury & Design Brands based in New York City.
Accounting for nearly 25 percent of the company’s system-wide pipeline, Marriott International expects to add more than 200 luxury and lifestyle hotel projects over the next several years, reflecting more than $15 billion of investment by the company’s owners and franchisees.
