Safari Air Set to Launch in 2009

Safari Air, the world’s first carbon-neutral luxury private jet charter service offering flights one seat at a time to popular destinations, has debuted at the Luxury Travel Expo in Las Vegas. Scheduled for takeoff in fall 2009, the carrier will offer luxury charter service from John Wayne Airport, Orange County, CA, aboard Gulfstream IV aircraft to such destinations as New York, Honolulu, Las Vegas, Puerto Vallarta and Cabo San Lucas. Its lineup will also feature an all-inclusive 21-day guided Grand East Africa Safari for eight passengers.

"Up until now, travelers have had to purchase expensive fractional ownerships, prepaid blocks of hourly time, or charter entire planes in order to travel privately," said Ken Jillson, president and founder.

Safari Air’s all Rolls-Royce powered Gulfstream fleet will feature such interior appointments including as a luxurious sofa, stand-up walk-about cabin comfort and a maximum of 10 passengers per flight. Passengers will have access to amenity kits, gourmet food, MacBook laptops, passenger pre-selected movies from Netflix, afternoon high tea and In-Flight Conciege Plus service.

Safari Air is committed to help reduce global warming by purchasing carbon offsets for each passenger mile and operate full flights to further mitigate atmospheric pollution.
