Cruise and Land FAM Trip Through Egypt Offered to Travel Agents
These familiarization trips depart every Friday and last a total of nine days. | Tours Specialists Inc. of Florida $1,500-1,600

Tours Specialists Inc. of Florida is celebrating 54 years in business by offering an Egypt familiarization trip for travel agents.

This familiarization trip allows travel agents to engage in a land-only trip around Egypt for $1,500, and also allows them to bring along a spouse or companion for $1,600. This cost is based on low season and is all-inclusive of all hotels, daily breakfast, four dinners on the cruise, as well as transfers and sightseeing.

These cruises depart every Friday, last for nine days and let travel agents become familiar with Cairo, Luxor, Esna, Edfu, Kom Ombo and Aswan.

As Egypt’s capital, Cairo is an excellent place to learn about the country’s history and culture. Visitors can go to the Keops Pyramid, the Gizeh Plateau and specialty museums such as the Egyptian Antiquities Museum or the Museu do Cairo.

Luxor is situated on the east bank of the Nile River in southern Eypt and is on site of the ancient Thebes. It is a city often referred to as “the world’s greatest open-air museum,” as visitors can walk through the Valley of the Kings, the Luxor Temple and the Karnak, dominated by the Temple of Amun-Ra, one of the world’s largest religious complexes.

Located about 31 miles from Luxor is the city of Esna. It is known to be a busy little farming town, but most visitors come to see the Temple of Khnum, which today represents 15 centuries of desert sand and debris, having accumulated since it was abandoned during the Roman period.

Edfu is located on the west bank of the Nile River between Esna and Aswan. This Egyptian city is known for the Ptolemaic Temple of Horus, known during Greco-Roman times as Apollonopolis Magna, named after the chief god Horus-Apollo and built between 237 BC and 57 BC.

Kom Ombo, also referred to as Ombos or Ombi, is a city in upper Egypt. It is an agricultural town mostly known for the unusual double temple called the Temple of Kom Ombo, dedicated to the crocodile god Sobek

In Aswan, a city located on the Nile River, visitors can see the Ruins of Abu, the Nubia Museum and the Tombs of the Nobles among other historic sites.
