Windstar Cruises has signed celebrity portraitist and travel photographer John Russo on Wind Surf’s April 17, 2011, Lisbon to Barcelona voyage.
Russo has photographed everyone from Kevin Costner to Eva Longoria, John Travolta and Sophia Loren with his work featured on the covers of Vogue, Elle, GQ and Esquire. In addition to photographing celebrities, he has also traveled around the world photographing destinations and teaches classes on celebrity portraiture at the Brooks Institute of Photography. He just released his book “About Face,” a collection of portraits of today’s most popular male actors.
During the sailing, Russo will conduct two lectures focusing on celebrity portraiture and travel photography while providing insight on how to take the best photos possible.
Wind Surf’s seven-day Lisbon to Barcelona sailing visits Tangier, Morocco; Málaga, Spain; Almeria, Spain; Cartagena, Spain; and Ibiza, Spain. Cruise rates start from $1,999 per person, double occupancy.
