Report: British Airways Jet Catches Fire at Las Vegas Airport (VIDEO)

An engine failure on a British Airways Boeing 777 led to a fire that injured 20 at Las Vegas McCarran International Airport, NBC News reports. 

The fire took place Tuesday afternoon after the plane was cleared for takeoff at around 4:13 p.m. local time. 20 passengers who were injured were treated and released early Wednesday from nearby Sunrise Hospital

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has said that it will investigate the engine failure that led to the fire. 

According to Flightview, the airport is currently experiencing general departure and arrival delays of 15 minutes or less.
