Report: JFK Plans Terminal Just for Animals

Dubbed The Ark, a new terminal set to move in to JFK Airport will cater to pets, livestock and zoo animals, Gothamist reports.

The new terminal is set to open next year in now-vacant building 78 in the airport's cargo area. The Ark will include a large animal departure lounge, where horses for export have access to comfortable stalls, food and water, as well as an arrival area where the horses' vitals are taken before they are placed in individually climate controlled units equipped with bedding and natural light.
