Passengers from the P&O Cruises Australia ship Pacific Dawn were involved in a bus collision in Vanuatu that killed two local Ni-Vanuatu and seriously injured 10 P&O passengers, Cruise Critic reports. The ship has since sailed from Port Vila for its next stop, the Isle of Pines

The 10 passengers were airlifted to hospitals in Noumea and Brisbane, P&O Spokesperson David Jones told Cruise Critic. He was unable to comment on the condition of the injured passengers, although he did say they had been stabilized before being airlifted and had been “well cared for” by health services in Port Vila.

“We would like to express our condolences to the families of the two Ni-Vanuatu local people who passed away, who were on the other local bus involved in the collision,” Jones told Cruise Critic.
