Sandals Resorts International has broken ground on a new expansion at Sandals Barbados, Caribbean Journal reports. Dubbed “Phase II,” the project will add 222 rooms and suites to the property when it opens in November 2017.
The project will also add five new restaurants, three new swimming pools, an entertainment pavilion with a bowling alley and a new spa and wellness sanctuary, Caribbean Journal said. The bowling alley will be a first for the company.
For meetings and events, the expansion will include a new 10,500-square-foot conference facility with a capacity of 550 people.
