Travel agent Edward Sotomayor Jr., 34, was among the 49 people killed in Saturday’s shooting at Pulse nightclub in Orlando, the Orlando Sentinel reports.
Sotomayor Jr. was national brand manager at ALandCHUCK.travel, a travel agency that caters to the gay community. He had just returned from Cuba after coordinating the first gay cruise to the island.
"He had traveled to so many places in the world," Al Ferguson, owner of ALandCHUCK.travel told the Orlando Sentinel. “He loved travel…What I will say, over and over again, was he was a person who said, 'We cannot be afraid.’ I know his friends are going to be the exact same way… we are not going to be afraid.”
