Results! Travel recently hosted its National Meeting at Bally's Las Vegas.

This year marks the company's 15th anniversary. The number of registered participants was up 65 percent over last year.

The keynote speaker was sales and marketing professional Mike Marchev. During his keynote address, “Execution: The True Differentiator,” he presented four key elements that help travel agents maintain a profitable travel business for years to come. Additionally, in a 90-minute workshop called “How ‘Mental Triggers’ Can Help You Double Your Business,” Marchev discussed eight “triggers” that affect most purchasing decisions.

Well-known travel industry speaker Stuart Cohen was on stage during the opening general session, for what he described as a “boot camp.” He spoke to attendees about how to “Master the Group Myth” to help Results! Travel Members improve the quality and quantity of their group bookings.

New for the 2015 National Meeting was the “Resource Room,” a trade show format dedicated to Results! Travel’s tools and programs, staffed by subject matter experts from its headquarters team. The Resource Room was designed to provide one-on-one opportunities to answer questions or demonstrate “how to” regarding Results! Travel’s various program offerings.

New Local Chapters in 10 Major Cities

The event also saw Results! Travel announce the launch of 10 Local Chapters in major markets, with the intention of expanding to other cities. The Local Chapters will increase networking and support opportunities, thus allowing Members and affiliated Independent Contractors (ICs) to be more accessible to each other so that they can build and grow peer-to-peer relationships, intellectual capital and professional skills in their own communities, Results! Travel said.

The chapters will initially roll out in 10 major metropolitan areas, which are:

  • Chicago
  • Cleveland
  • Detroit
  • Houston
  • Milwaukee
  • Minneapolis
  • Los Angeles
  • Portland (Oregon)
  • Salt Lake City
  • San Francisco

Results! Travel regularly holds Regional Meetings in four markets, twice a year, with core members regularly in attendance. The Chapters will differ in that they will be more locally focused to increase the sharing of ideas among like-minded Results! Members.

Special Honors for Charter Members

Since this year's event celebrated the company's 15th anniversary, Results! Travel celebrated its members who have been with the network since its year 2000 inception with a private reception. Results! Travel Vice President and General Manager John Risner toasted the original Members for their long-time dedication and loyalty.

Nearly a dozen of the original Members expressed their gratitude and shared their reasons for joining and remaining with Results! Travel. 

During the reception, other company executives within Results! Travel and the larger Travel Leaders Group family, of which Results! Travel is a part, had an opportunity to speak one-on-one with the members to thank them for their years of service.

New Marketing Technology

Results! Travel also spotlighted its new marketing technology at this year's event, which include upgraded and customized customer relationship management software, new highly-targeted email marketing options and enhanced training workshops covering everything from social media to public relations.

Results! Travel recently migrated all of its marketing initiatives into its proprietary Results! Advantage System (RAS) Marketing Platform. The integration includes a partnership with Sabre’s ClientBase, which is providing its customer relationship management (CRM) tool for Results! Members. Through RAS, Members can efficiently and effectively use targeted marketing campaigns, ensuring each marketing piece reaches the right customer with the right offer at the right time, all by just checking a box. The suite of marketing programs includes:

  • Direct mail
  • Email marketing
  • Enriching Escapes print and digital booklet
  • Results! Travel’s exclusive consumer magazine, and more.

At the National Meeting there were were several workshops specific to marketing-related topics. In a “Marketing in the New World,” attendees had an opportunity to learn about the intricacies of Agent Advantage, which allows them to customize marketing collateral at the agent level. Attendees also participated in a Facebook marketing workshop. Led by social media guru Rich Tucker, participants learned how to develop a Facebook business strategy for ads, desktop and mobile.
