CIE Marks Fifth Year of River Cruises

Building on its success in selling European river cruises in the past four years, CIE Tours International has published "European River Cruises & Coach Tours 2011," a new 44-page brochure spotlighting eight different river cruise itineraries, according to Brian W. Stack, managing director of CIE Tours International.

“CIE Tours is offering European river cruising on the Danube, Main, Rhine and Mosel Rivers via state-of-the-art 150-passenger river ships with deluxe accommodations, lounges, fitness centers, sun decks, balconies and elevators,” Stack said. “Clients will explore Old World Europe in 2011-style, and everything is included on board ship - three gourmet meals daily and complimentary local wines.”

A new itinerary for next year is Europe's Rivers & Castles, a 14-day/12-night/25-meal vacation that starts on land with three nights in Paris and also visits Luxembourg before boarding a seven-night cruise from Remich to Nuremberg through the center of Germany including legendary castles, wine country and the Romantic Road, ending in Prague for two nights. This cruise also operates in reverse, Prague to Paris, and includes two hotel nights in Prague to three hotel nights in Paris.

Prices start at $2,099 for cruise only; $3,339 for cruise and land. Once a cruise is paid for, the price is guaranteed against any currency fluctuations. Departures begin April 21, 2011 and run through November 3, 2011.

CIE Tours also offers cruises concentrating on the Danube and Rhine as well as Tulip Time cruises to Holland and Belgium and Christmas Time cruises that include stops at European Christmas markets. The choices include cruises ranging in duration from nine to 16 days.
