ALTOUR Expands Colorado Presence

Cottonwood Travel in Greeley, CO, has joined ALTOUR. Founded almost 30 years ago by former flight attendant Kay Kosmicki, Cottonwood Travel strengthens ALTOUR’s position in the Western U.S.

Cottonwood Travel specializes in leisure, corporate, incentive and meeting group travel. The official travel agency for the University of Northern Colorado athletics, the company is also one of 11 agencies appointed to provide travel to Colorado’s state employees.

Established in 1991 by Chemla, ALTOUR has grown to become a global player with travel volume of over $500 million, ALTOUR is among the largest agencies serving the luxury and mid-market travel niches today. It has 22 offices and more than 700 travel professionals throughout the U.S. and in Europe.

In addition to its core travel management business, ALTOUR has developed a family of companies including Altour Limousine, Altour Air, Altour Travel Master, Altour Incentive Management, and Altour Management Technology. In 2009, ALTOUR signed a joint program with American Express Travel.
