Amadeus and SAS Partner on Revenue Management

scandanavian airlinesAmadeus reports a long-term, strategic partnership with Scandinavian Airlines (SAS), the region’s leading airline and the flag carrier of Denmark, Norway and Sweden

The deal will see the carrier migrate to Amadeus’ new revenue management solution, whilst establishing an Amadeus ‘Centre of Competence’ in the process, Amadeus says.

Later this month, Scandinavian and Wideroe will become the launch partners for Amadeus Altéa Revenue Management solution, now incorporating full origin and destination management capability.

The airlines will migrate from their in-house Origin & Destination Revenue Management System (ODRMS) to Amadeus’ new solution by early 2015, joining the eight airlines which already benefit from Amadeus’ integrated revenue management and passenger services system.

At the same time, Amadeus says it will open a revenue management ‘Centre of Competence’ in Copenhagen, Denmark, which will see more than 20 SAS employees join Amadeus.

“Revenue management is an increasingly important area of focus for airlines, and one which directly impacts their bottom line," said Julia Sattel, Senior VP, Airline IT, Amadeus.
