AMResorts’ Loyalty Program Sees Growth in 2018

AMResorts’ loyalty program AMRewards broke its previous participation record in 2018 with bookings growing by 27 percent year over year. Point redemption also saw a rise, with 2018 marking a 15 percent increase in redeemed room nights compared to 2017.

An Apple Leisure Group company, AMResorts operates seven different brands and 52 properties. Its loyalty program, now four years old, has registered over 38,000 travel agents. The company attributed 2018’s growth to continued enhancements, rewarding promotions and contents and expects these same factors to drive expansion in 2019.

This year will bring the introduction of a new way for agents to reward clients. Already they can surprise their guests with extra perks, like a spa treatment, breakfast in bed or a romantic dinner for two. This new feature will now allow for agents to also book in-room amenities for their guests.

AMRewards announced a new promotion to celebrate the debut of AMResorts’ latest family-friendly brand offering Unlimited-Luxury, Reflect Resort & Spas. Applicable towards the brands locations in Cancun, Los Cabos and Nuevo Vallarta, agents can enter to win a stay for themselves by placing reservations before February 28 for travel through March 29. In addition to its new brand, AMResorts will also debut two new properties this year. With reservations already open, the family-friendly beachfront Natura Riviera Cancun, located in Mexico’s Riviera Maya, will start welcoming guests in late 2019. The collection also plans on adding its first location in the French Caribbean this year with the introduction of Secrets St. Martin.
