April Global Assistant Network, a specialty travel insurance program provider, has announced its expansion into the U.S. market with the launch of April Travel Protection and its partnership with student and youth tour operators, STA Travel. The company has retained services of New York-based KTCpr for its strategic marketing campaign.
“We’ve dedicated the last year to laying the ground work for our U.S. division by assembling local expertise and facilities,” said Jason Schreier, CEO, April-USA. “Our unique value proposition is to provide hassle-free services to vacationers and alleviate any resulting stress that travel agents, tour operators and all other travel suppliers may encounter,” he said.
“We coordinate solutions and pay the necessary expenses so the traveler often does not have to deal with the hassle of filling out claim forms upon their return home,” added Schreier. April offers a variety of coverage options including multi-trip plans and Stress Less Benefits.
Part of their U.S. expansion plans is a contract with STA Travel. Customers will have access to benefits and traveler assistance programs tailored for STA Travel’s unique offerings.
“Insurance has always been a key part of our business model as many of our programs encompass active, hands-on experiences and often venture into areas with developing infrastructure where good coverage is absolutely essential,” said Adam Cooper, Senior Vice President – North America at STA Travel. “April Travel Protection offers a wide range of coverage options, including a number of forward-thinking benefits that go beyond the typical ‘what if’ scenarios that are of significant value to our customers,” said Cooper.
April Global Assistance Network has an extensive organizational structure servicing more than 6 million policyholders worldwide with corporate principles to build trust, push boundaries, innovate and keep it simple.
