ARC MarketPlace Offers Redesigned Website

ARC reports the launch of the redesigned ARC MarketPlace, which offers fresh content and expanded services. ARC MarketPlace     also welcomed CIBT member  companies AmericanPassport.com and VisaCentral as the new providers of the site’s extensive passport and visa service offerings. The site also debuts a new shore excursion search function, allowing travel agents to select from an extensive range of commissionable products from around the world, ARC  says.

As the world’s largest processors of travel visas and passports, CIBT – and its subsidiaries AmericanPassport.com and VisaCentral – will strengthen the commissionable passport and visa services offered on ARC MarketPlace. The company has more than 20 years of experience, 30 offices around the globe, and 75 percent of Fortune 500 companies as clients, ARC says.

“Being part of ARC MarketPlace is a natural fit for our company, because it helps expand our services to travel agents of all sizes. Now all travel sellers using this valuable website will be able to provide their customers with fast, easy, and secure passport and visa services using our simple process. We look forward to working with ARC MarketPlace users,” Michelle Bailin, CIBT’s vice president of marketing said.

The new shore excursion search capability will allow travel agents to quickly search and select pre- and post-cruise activities in the top rated destinations around the globe. The shore excursion products also include “worry-free” options and a low price guarantee. Viator, a leader in destination activities, powers the shore excursion and destination activity offerings, ARC notes.

Through its online poll feature and ARC MarketPlace Twitter stream, travel agents are able to weigh in on issues currently impacting the travel industry. Another new feature includes “Judy’s Picks,” highlighted popular or unique travel options by Judith Howard, the senior product manager of ARC MarketPlace.

“The launch of the enhanced site is very exciting because it is built based on our research and understanding of how travel agents use ARC MarketPlace. I’m certain that this new site will deliver what they need and provide the type of content to help them generate additional revenue through commissions,” said Howard.

"The new ARC Marketplace will provide agents with enhanced access to Viator's global selection of 9,000 tours and activities including the oft-elusive commissionable shore excursion. ARC MarketPlace has been a key component within Viator's travel agent distribution strategy for years and will surely be an invaluable tool for the agent community for years to come," said Ken Frohling, vice president, business development.
